The 2024 Solea is a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Nebbiolo (vinified off the skins) from the Roagna family's Pira estate in Castiglione Falletto. Lemon confit, marzipan and white flowers open first, followed by light tropical accents that add layers of dimension. More than anything else, I am blown away by the wine's textural presence, which is richer and deeper than I recall in past editions.
