Die aus dem Jura bekannte Trousseau heißt hier abfällig Bastardo, dennoch gibt sie einen witzigen, blaufruchtigen Blut-Ton zur Mencia, die mit 90% klar dominiert. Floral und rotfruchtig in der Nase, durchaus mit Charme. Hocharomatisch und rund im Mund. Sehr feines Tannin. Ein geschmackvoller Mencia und völlig unagressiv, lecker, rund und aromatisch schick.

The single-vineyard red 2019 Gorvia comes from the same vineyard as the white of the same name, a south-facing slate slope in the surroundings of the Monterrei Castle, mostly Mencía with some 5% Bastardo and Caíño Redondo. It fermented in an open stainless steel vat with destemmed grapes, was kept there for nine months, then put in used 500- and 700-liter casks and assembled in stainless steel until bottling. It has a transparent color and also an ethereal nose and palate, with only 12.5% alcohol, purity of flavors and strong personality. 2,505 numbered bottles.

The 2019 Gorvia Tinto is based on Mencía with 5% Bastardo and Caíño Redondo from Monterrei. The 2019 fermented in open vats and macerated post-fermentation for two months before fourteen months in foudres and barrels. It displays expressive raspberry, blood and red fruit aromas. The 2019 is dry, smooth and fresh, with moderate tannins, juicy flavors and a clean, vibrant finish.

Quinta da Muradella ist das Projekt von José Luis Mateo. In Fachkreisen und auch unter Kollegen wird er als der beste Winzer Galiciens gehandelt. 1991 begann er seine große Lebensaufgabe, Winzer zu sein, obwohl es dann noch fast 10 Jahre brauchte, bis der erste etikettierte Wein auf den Markt kam.
