-- Decanter: The Clos Prieur 2022 opens with a bright, forward blackberry fruit aroma with a suggestion of violets and liquorice. The texture is silky but very firm, and the structure leads to a generous, lingering finish. The grapes are from two parcels that total 0.40-hectares, located just downslope from Mazis-Bas, that are now trained on stakes and farmed biodynamically to produce an excellent wine that marries supple generosity with the structure to assure longevity.

-- Parker: The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle is more mineral but also more concentrated than the En Ergot bottling. Bursting with notes of rose petals, raspberries and baking chocolate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and refined, with an intense core of fruit, lively acids and polished tannins, concluding with a saline finish.

-- Galloni: The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos-Prieur ler Cru is very pure on the nose with black cherries and wild strawberry fruit, the 50% whole bunches deftly assimilated. Very tender aromatically. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry. It has a sweet core of black fruit but is not cloying, the acidity driving along with superb tension and poise towards the finish. A superb Clos Prieur.
