Terraprima Blanco
The very young and slightly reductive 2023 Terraprima Blanc is the most approachable of the whites. Produced with Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Moscatell de Fontignan grapes from old vines on the property, it has moderate alcohol (11.5%) and a low pH and a sensation of sweetness despite not having analytical residual sugar. The full clusters were pressed, and the juice fermented separately with a small portion of Xarello in chestnut wood barrel. 2023 was a very challenging year, the third consecutive dry year, when the vines suffered tremendously. It has balsamic aromas, notes of herbs and flowers and a light to medium-bodied palate with fine chalkiness. 35,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2024.
