Lobenberg: Diese Hommage an Sir Winston Churchill vereint alle Charaktereigenschaften, die Churchill an Pol Roger so liebte. Charakterstärke, Robustheit und Reife. Hier dominiert der Pinot Noir. Nur von Grand Cru klassifizierten Lagen und besonders langer reife auf der Feinhefe. Die Cuvée gibt es nur in den besten Jahren. Also 1996, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2006 und nun auch 2008. Das ist eine der nobelsten Cuvées der Champagne. Viel Brioche und Honig, etwas frischer Tabak und trotzdem Salzigkeit am Gaumen. Ein Charakterchampagner. 96-98/100
