Lobenberg: Ist das gut! Die Nase hat Fumé-Charakter wie von der Loire. Ein bisschen getrocknete Chilikerne, dann Stachelbeere und etwas Holz. Am Gaumen knochentrocken, ganz leicht phenolisch und damit strukturierend. Die Aromatik ist irgendwo zwischen dezenter Frucht im Hintergrund und weißer Frucht liegend. Also weder Sancerre, noch Neuseeland-Expressionismus. Wunderbar animierend und ein guter Essensbegleiter.

-- Galloni: The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is whole-bunch-pressed, naturally settled, racked into tank for natural fermentation and matured in around 30% new oak. It has a wonderful, very delineated bouquet, with gooseberry, nettle and light crushed stone scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with a twist of sour lemon. Complex and refined, with fine weight, this is about as good a Sauvignon Blanc as you'll find in the Cape.
