Planetes de Nin Blanco Carinena blanca
The 2024 Planetes Carinyena Blanca is the first time the name of the grape is printed on the label, as it's now a grape admitted by the appellation. It's also the first time the wine didn't go through malolactic fermentation, something that just happened, as they never block it, and it helped to give the wine a little punch that was lacking from the year. The juice from the cold clusters fermented 70% in barrels and 30% in concrete egg, where it matured after racking for eight months. This has a little more volume, with 13% alcohol, notes of dry yellow flowers and some straw and a sleek mouthfeel. 5,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2025 (shown as the lot number L425).
