From an eight-hectare site with south and southwest exposure at roughly 300 to 360 meters, the 2021 Gattinara Vigna Valferana delivers a refined and lifted expression of the vintage. Aromas of crushed flowers, wild red fruit, incense, and subtle iron notes reflect both soil and microclimate. Medium-bodied, it is precise and chiseled on the palate, with fine tannins, refreshing acidity, and exceptional clarity. As it opens, notes of church incense emerge and add further depth. This is a wine that rewards patience and attention. Drink 2027-2047.
