100 Prozent Listrão, das ist der Name der selben Rebsorte auf Porto Santo (einer Nachbarinsel Madeiras), die in Jerez Palomino Fino und auf Teneriffa Listan Blanco heißt. Die über 80 Jahre alten Reben stehen auf kargen, kalkhaltigen Sandböden, mit etwas Lehm. Zehn Monatiger Ausbau in gebrauchten, neutralen, französischen Barriques. Die Nähe zum Meer ist hier klar riechbar, die Nase ist mineralisch und salzig. Zart rauchige, leicht reduktive Aromen werden nach einem Moment im Glas nussig und mischen sich mit Zitrusfrucht und gelbem Steinobst. Im Mund hat der Wein eine ultra feine, beinahe seidige Haptik, die mit dem salzigem Säurespiel auf der Zunge tänzelt. Spannend! Es gibt nur 2.800 Flaschen. Phänomenal gut, wo auch immer Antonio Macanita seine Finger im Spiel hat, kommt garantiert spannender Wein dabei raus.

The 2024 Listrão dos Profetas Vinho do P. Santo has some salty sensations and chalky feelings. He likes to pick the grapes early to preserve the freshness and also with lower alcohol (12%) so they need less acidity. This is the Palomino or Listán Blanco from Spain, and it fermented with indigenous yeasts in small stainless steel tanks and 228-liter barrels where it matured until the following harvest. There's more complexity and nuance here than in the Caracol; the texture is chalky and the finish is long, dry and clean. 1,330 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2025.,,
