-- Weinwisser: --Weinwisser: Kein Frost beim Grand Vin. Leuchtendes Gelb mit goldenem Schimmer. Was für ein komprimiertes Parfüm nach frisch gekochtem Birnen Mark, dahinter Renekloden Kompott und Mirabellen, im zweiten Ansatz Cointreaulikör und Orangenzesten. Am Gaumen eine royale Grösse zeigend und dabei in perfekter Balance. Dann explodiert der Wein mit einem vollen Korb nach Papaya und Mango. Ein nicht enden wollendes Finale mit Orangenöl und Lindenblütenhonig und pfeffrigem Extrakt, ganz nah an der Perfektion! Kann in der optimalen Trinkreife die Maximalnote erreichen! Chapeau Monsieur Montegut, das war der beste Sauternes, den ich aus diesem Jahrgang verkostet habe! 19+/20

-- Jeb Dunnuck: One of the finest Sauternes I was able to taste for this report was the 2017 Château Suduiraut, from an estate that was unaffected by the April frost. A rockstar blend of 94% Sémillon and 6% Sauvignon, aged in 50% new oak, it boasts a big, thrilling bouquet of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and pure botrytis-laced fruit. Seamless, incredibly polished and balanced on the palate, it has serious sweetness, yet just glides across the palate and is remarkably elegant. 95-97/100

-- Parker: More floral and elegantly perfumed than its 2015 and 2016 counterparts, the 2017 Suduiraut exhales aromas of white flowers, peaches, plums and ripe orchard fruits. Medium to full-bodied, round and enveloping with a delicate, fleshy core of fruit, it’s perfectly balanced with a stunning 'rôti,' the consequence of noble rot. It concludes with a long, penetrating and mineral-laden finish, showcasing the wine's youthful expressiveness. This blend of 94% Sémilllon and 6% Sauvignon Blanc contains 140 grams per liter of residual sugar and was matured for 18 months in a combination of new oak barrels and one-year-old barrels, split evenly.
