Lobenberg: Der erste Lascombes der Neuzeit, in dem das ZUVIEL an Holz durch die spektakuläre Frische und Vibration perfekt gebändigt wurde. Tolle Rasse und Balance und das sogar noch vor dem Erscheinen des neuen Superstars der Weinmaker Axel Heinz (vormals Ornellaia). Lascombes ist hier seinem Status als 2eme Cru absolut würdig, ganz sicher einer der Superstars in Cantenac auf dem Level von Brane Cantenac. Großer Wein.

-- Parker: Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Lascombes charges out of the gate with brazen scents of blackcurrant jelly, Black Forest cake and black raspberries plus touches of cedar chest, lilacs, pencil lead, camphor and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate possesses beautiful poise and freshness, with a firm line of ripe, finely grained tannins supporting the intense, crunchy black fruits, finishing on a lingering mineral note. 93-95+/100

More serious than the 2018 Lascombes, as is so often the case with the 2019 vintage, give it a good five or six years before opening. Black cherry and vanilla pod sweetness lies beneath the tannic frame. 48hl/ha yields, 60% new oak. Harvest September 19 to October 16.
