Wow, diese Nase ist wirklich erstaunlich schön, strahlt einfach nur puren Hedonismus in ihrer Saftigkeit und Samtigkeit aus, man möchte hineinspringen! Tiefdunkle Kirschnoten und Brombeergelee strömen mit ordentlich Schub aus dem Glas. Süße Lakritze, zerstoßener Kalk, sahnige Schokolade. Wie ein Dessert in dieser tollen Kompensation. Im Mund geht es ebenso hedonistisch weiter. Zur aufkonzentrierten Brombeere gesellen sich reife Zwetschge und Blaubeere. Auch wieder viel Kakao, viel Schokolade. Tolle, reife Tannine im langen Nachhall. Kraftvoll und reif mit einem schicken Lecker-Gen.

2023 präsentiert sich als ein spektakuläres, wollüstiges Genusswunder, das die reife Opulenz eines warmen Jahres mit einer grandiosen, vibrierenden Frische vermählt. This shows structure and focus, with creamy, powdery tannins and a very pretty, silky texture. Medium to full body with a solid line of tannins running through the wine. Blackberries and currants with a hint of crushed stone. Better than 2022?

Dark and quite imposing, the 2023 offers up an exotic mélange of blackberry jam, gravel, incense, licorice, dried herbs and scorched earth. Even with all of its considerable textural intensity, Haut-Batailley shows a measure of brightness, especially in its aromatics.

Smoky black fruits, tobacco leaf, chocolate, and graphite all emerge from the 2023 Château Haut-Batailley, a gorgeous Pauillac in the vintage. Based on 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot and aged 16 months in 65% new French oak, it's medium to full-bodied, with a round, layered, seamless mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and beautiful polish and elegance. It shines even today yet will have three decades of longevity. Drink 2026-2055.

Minutiös im Auftakt, füllig in der Mitte, mit einem schmelzenden Körper und vor allem viel Geschmack, der Wein schmilzt am Gaumen, saftig, lang und edel. Der Wein ist einfach großartig! Zusammenstellung: 71 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 % Merlot, 4 % Petit Verdot. Alkoholgehalt: 13°2 - pH-Wert: 3,69 - TPI: 87. Ertrag: 50 hl/ha. Selektion des Erstweins: 55 % der Ernte.
