Lobenberg: Ein Wein aus dem Hause Moueix. Schwarz-Rubinrot. Ungeheuer strömende rotfruchtige Nase voller Charme. Süße rote Kirschen Walderdbeeren, dann feine Milchschokolade und etwas Schwarzkirsche mit Orangenschale. Sehr verführerisch. Im Mund dunkle Pflaumen und wieder schwarze Kirsche, aber auch hier die schöne zarte Walderdbeere, dann auch Cassis mit toller Frische. Der Wein ist archetypisch Pomerol mit seiner Finesse und schönen fruchtigen Fülle ohne jedoch sehr spezifisch zu sein. Wirklich jeder wird aber Spass haben damit. Und so soll es sein!

The 2016 Bourgneuf is composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Medium garnet-purple colored, it opens with very pretty notions of crushed red cherries, blackberry pie, wild blueberries and potpourri plus hints of tapenade, camphor and tobacco leaf. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers a great intensity of perfumed black fruits, framed by rounded tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and perfumed.

Very plush and attractive tannin texture and a wealth of rich dark plums and berries, make this an attractive wine for the vintage. Great focus and balance. Try from 2022.

Galloni über: Chateau Bourgneuf

The 2016 Bourgneuf needs a lot of coaxing from the glass, eventually offering blackberry, briar and light cedar aromas. The medium-bodied palate displays grainy tannins and gentle grip. There is plenty of freshness and vitality here, the 15% Cabernet Franc lending a little spice toward the persistent finish. This is one of the best Bourgneut wines I have encountered in recent years.

This was extremely subdued when tasted at en primeur, but the way it's nudging forward is extremely promising. Lush fruit appears on the attack and right on through the-mid palate, before you are pulled up hard on the finish by the strength of the tannins, suggesting a long life ahead and a patient wait before it's fully ready. Things are softened by a creamy caramel note coming in as things open in the glass, which keeps you enjoyably engaged with the wine.

Earthy nose that has a wealth of classic bordelais character: smoke, graphite, cedar and lots of core blackcurrant fruit. Youthful length that needs lots of age to fully open. A great-value Pomerol.

Ein seit unzähligen Jahren von der berühmten Moueix-Familie geleitetes kleines Pomerolweingut. Hier entstehen aus überwiegend Merlot mit etwas Cabernet Franc Jahr für Jahr tiefgründige, archetypische Pomerols, in großen Jahren sogar Weine voller Finesse und berauschender Frucht.
