Lobenberg: Das eigene Weingut von Michel Rolland, auf dem er auch seine Zentrale hat. Sehr schöne warme, reife Nase. Erstaunlich viel rote Frucht, süße rote Kirsche ist die Dominante. Sehr fein, sehr süß. Feine Lakritze und Veilchen darunter. Fast etwas Jasmin-artig, floral, schick und duftig. Auch im Mund extrem fein. Ich hatte Bon Pasteur lange nicht mehr so gut. So toll verwoben, auch hier rote Kirsche vor Sauerkirsche, Zwetschge, helle Lakritze und Milchschokolade. Zart und trotzdem mit einer fleischigen Mitte. Gutes Volumen, mittlere Länge, feiner Nachhall mit Karamelle, Salz und wieder süßer roter Kirsche. Ein echtes hedonistisches Leckerli. Wunderbar – lange nicht so gut gehabt.

-- Suckling: A perfumed nose of dark cherries, plums, mocha, tea leaves, cedar, hazelnuts and cigar box. Full-bodied with fine, creamy and supple tannins. Framed and balanced with a harmonious structure. The tannin backbone runs through the wine. Long and intense with wonderful purity of fruit. Drink from 2026.

-- Parker: The 2019 Bon Pasteur sports a deep garnet-purple color, charging out of the glass with bold blackberry pie, blueberry preserves and prunes notes followed by hints of cedar chest, Ceylon tea, Indian spices and licorice with a waft of violets. Full-bodied, the palate packs a wallop of black fruits, framed by rock-solid, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, finishing with great length and depth.

-- Jeff Leve: Everything that makes Bon Pasteur a great wine is here in spades. The opening floral notes are the perfect setup for the black cherries, cocoa, wet earth and licorice in the perfume. Silky, fresh, vibrant, refined and sensuous, the supple-textured, creamy, soft, polished finish, with endnote of chocolate-coated plums, spice and espresso hit all the right notes. You can drink this young for all of its opulence, or age it for additional complexities. This is one of the finest vintages of Bon Pasteur ever produced. Drink from 2024-2044.
