Lobenberg: 6 Barriques, ungefähr 60 Jahre alte Reben. Vielleicht die schönste Nase aller Weine von Oliver Bernstein und Richard Seguin. Extrem fein und Erinnerung an einen perfekten Chambolle 1er Cru hervorrufend. Gleiche hohe Intensität, soooo fruchtig pikant! Singend, dynamisch, vibrierend. Brillantes Spiel von Frucht, heller Schokolade, feinem dominikanischen Tabak, Zwetschge, Kirsche, Johannisbeere. Alles spielt, alles ist fein und hochintensiv. Die pure Finesse, ein Traum in der Nase. Im Mund das Gleiche zeigend wie in der Nase, was eine extrem positive Überraschung darstellt. Was für eine große Leistung! Ganz feine Säure, tolles Spiel. Auch hier die gleichen Fruchtsorten, Johannisbeere, Kirsche, Sauerkirsche, Zwetschge, feine Milchschokolade, helle Pralinen und Rauch. Große Länge. Dynamische brillante Säure. Extrem komplex und superfein. Ein Traumwein, ein großer Wein! 99-100/100

-- Galloni: Density, structure and pulsating energy collide in Bernstein's 2013 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, a visceral, thrilling wine endowed with tons of pure personality. Violets, lavender and spices wrap around the dark finish. Today, the Bèze comes across as quite raw and not fully formed, but that is not too surprising given the personality of this site. Still, readers should be prepared to cellar the 2013 for at least a handful of years. 93-96/100

-- BH: This is at once spicier still though notably less sauvage with ample floral characters adding a sense of elegance to the red currant aromas that express plenty of classic Gevrey elements. The rich, intense and powerful middle weight plus flavors possess an appealing sense of energy on the strikingly persistent finish. This isn’t quite as concentrated as the Mazis but it’s finer and classier. 93-95/100
