Biologisch-organische Weinbergsarbeit. Handlese, entrappt, spontan vergoren im Stahl, Ausbau im Tonneau. Tiefe rote Farbe. Aromen von roten und dunklen Früchten, extrem feine Waldfrucht, balsamische Noten, Erde und Vanille. Kalkstein und Zitrus geben Mineralität und Frische, tiefe Würze mit Wacholder dazu. Kraftvoll am Gaumen, feinkörniges samtiges Tannin mit mineralischem Gripp und recht viel Kraft, gut balanciert mit intensiver, aber verspielter Frucht und dezenten Eucalyptustönen. Pikant! Wahrscheinlich der beste Wein Navarras, puristisch, fruchtig, mineralisch mit burgundisch samtigen Nachhall.

Der spektakuläre Jahrgang 2023 gilt in Spanien als Meilenstein der Eleganz. Deutlich balancierter als 2022, präsentieren sich die Weine als reife, ungemein harmonische Version von 2020. Sie bestechen mit einer steinigen Reduktion, atemberaubender Sauberkeit und einer präzisen Symmetrie von absolutem Weltrang.

The village red from Artazu is the 2023 Santa Cruz de Artazu was produced with grapes from small plots of old head-pruned and dry-farmed vines on silt and limestone soils that provide finesse. It has notes of red fruit and flowers, aromatic herbs and perfectly integrated oak after it matured in well-seasoned 600-liter barrels for eight months. It's harmonious, elegant and fine-boned, with elegant tannins and great balance. It's approachable now because of its harmonious profile but has the stuffing and balance between its components to age nicely in bottle. 6,909 bottles and 51 magnums were filled in December 2024.

This has sweet, crunchy red fruit and red licorice aromas that are exuberant and fruit-forward. The palate is tightly knit, medium- to full-bodied, with focused tannins and a savory, red-fruited core. It finishes with pleasant, restrained austerity and delineated fruit. Drink now.

Yet another very elegant and fine interpretation of this 100 year old vineyard. The wine,spends 12 months in oak which is already very well integrated, bringing just a hint of fine-,grained oak tannin and balsamic freshness. The wine is perfumed and floral with a silky,smooth texture while red berry fruit combines on the palate with herbal notes reflecting the,vineyard’s surrounds. It is an accomplished wine with a pure Navarran character.
