Parker über:
Sansofi Tinto
The 2024 Sansofi, taken out of the barrels and in stainless steel waiting to be bottled at the end of 2025, is truly stunning. The plot, at 1,350 meters above sea level, was planted with a field blend that has mostly Listán Negro and some Listán Prieto and a handful of white vines. It was co-fermented with 100% full clusters in open-top barrels and matured in two 500-liter barrels for one year. The vineyard has a northwest exposure, and he selects the parts with more volcanic ash. The wine has concentration and depth, but it's highly mineral, serious, ethereal and elegant. It's stony and less fruit driven, more austere, but it opens up slowly in the glass to a nuanced and layered nose of wild berries, herbs and spices. It's really stunning. This vineyard is clearly grand cru level. There will be around 1,200 bottles of this.
