Sancerre Blanc Constellation du Scorpion
-- Parker zu 2019: Parker zu 2019: From a southwest-exposed lieu-dit (Les Bouloises) in Saint-Satur on a mix of flint with loose, quite sandy siliceous clay (silex) soils and vinified in large oak, the 2019 Sancerre Constellation du Scorpion is intense yet refined and stony as well as smoky on the nose. On the palate, this is an intense, tightly structured and persistently salty Sancerre with fine, still young tannins and a long and grippy finish. Far too young to be served today, this is a Sancerre for the near future. Compared to the corresponding Mélodie de Vieilles Vignes, the Scorpion is richer, mightier, more mouthfilling and, perhaps, also more 2019. 94/100
