Heiner Lobenberg über:
Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois 2019

Galloni über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Galloni: The 2019 Gloria has a compelling nose: black fruit, crushed rocks, tobacco and very subtle marine scents that are all beautifully combined. Perhaps the most precise and delineated nose among an impressive array of Saint-Julien's this year. The palate is medium-bodied with a lively opening. A touch of soy infuses the black fruit; fine-boned with wonderful sapidity on the finish. Extraordinary length. Serious. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting. 96/100

Jane Anson über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Jane Anson: So good, this is a vibrant mix of young and exuberant, luxurious, seriously creamy in texture, crushed stone, baked earth, smoked caramel, damson, sweet blackberry and damson fruits. This is pure pleasure, hard to resist. 45% new oak, 40hl/ha yield, harvest September 23 to October 4. Remi di Constanzo technical director. 95/100

Jeb Dunnuck über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Jeb Dunnuck: This estate continues to deliver the goods, and their 2019 Château Gloria is a hands-down winner. Gorgeous crème de cassis fruit as well as notes of cedar pencil, leather, and dried flowers all flow from this medium to full-bodied Saint-Julien, and it's perfectly balanced, has sweet tannins, and a great finish. Count me impressed. It's going to drink well for 20-25 years or more. 94-96/100

Suckling über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Suckling: A firm, chewy red with blackberries, earth and hints of chocolate. It’s full-bodied and very structured. Better than the 2018. 94-95/100

Neal Martin über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Neal Martin: The 2019 Gloria continues a strong run of form - those rustic Glorias of the 1970s and 1980s are a distant memory. This has a precise and detailed bouquet that offers blackberry, briary, cedar and light tobacco aromas that gently unfurl in the glass. The palate is very well structured with a lovely citric undercurrent lending freshness and sharpness. This is a nimble Saint-Julien, athletic in build with a sapid finish that urges you back for another sip. Excellent. 93-95/100

Wine Cellar Insider über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Wine Cellar Insider: Wow’, was the first word that crossed my path as soon as I met this beauty. Texturally, this wine rocks with its layers of lush, soft, polished, elegant, ripe, succulent fruits. The black and red berries glide over your palate with no hard edges, leaving with waves of sweet, ripe, rich, concentrated, full-bodied, pure black, red and blue fruits. This is a super wine that is clearly a contender for the best wine ever produced at Gloria! 93-95/100

Jancis Robinson über: Chateau Gloria Cru Bourgeois

-- Jancis Robinson: Tasted blind. Complex nose with savoury layers. Aromatic ink. Smooth and polished. Lovely balance with really lively energy. Nothing forced. Very long. Almost pretty! 18/20
