Lobenberg: Vielleicht der genialste Weißwein Italiens. Aus einer der 'einfachsten' Rebsorte des Landes, aber wie die simple Chenin Blanc in Frankreich, die Pedro Ximenez in Spanien oder die Gutedel in Deutschland und der Schweiz zeigt, gerade diese Rebsorten verdecken mit zuviel Frucht gerade nicht das Terroir, die Ertragsmenge und die Ausbaukunst des Winzers. Hier zeigt sich die wahre Meisterschft. Aber man muss Geduld haben, erst 10 Jahre nach der Ernte fangen Valentinis Weine an sich zu öffnen. 97-98/100

-- Galloni: Luminous straw-yellow. Tangy aromas of nectarine, pineapple, apple, minty herbs and lime, complicated by a bright mineral undertone. Very precise, vibrant and dense, offering floral, captivating flavors of white stone fruit, pineapple, crushed rock and spice. The compelling fruity acidity frames and carries the extremely lifted and complex flavors through the very long finish, which features lingering notes of lemon verbena, jasmine and minerals. Along with the great 2010, this is the best Trebbiano d’Abruzzo from Valentini since his also outstanding 2008. 94/100

-- Parker: Within the context of Valentini's past vintages, this wine is very unique. The 2014 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is definitely thinner and crisper with a more angular and linear overall presentation. The effect is glossy and polished. In appearance, the wine is both crystalline and bright. Those distinctive notes of lemon preserves, saffron and crushed stone appear in smooth succession, but the mouthfeel is definitely on the more spiny and thorny side of the spectrum. It's a more meager beast than its brethren, to be clear; however, we can expect this Trebbiano d'Abruzzo to take on more volume with extended bottle age. 93+/100
