Lobenberg: Der beste Cava vom besten Erzeuger Spaniens, reine Biodynamie aus einem uralten Weinberg mit gemischtem Satz aus Xarello und Graciano. Überwiegend Xarello. Die beste Sorte für Cava, aber auch etwas eigenwillig. 18 Monate im Holzfass und danach über 8 Jahre auf der Hefe in der Flasche. Ganz natürliche Frucht mit verblüffend steiniger Mineralität. Reif und jung zugleich mit Saft und Kraft. Dabei delikat und multikomplex zugleich. Der beste Cava ist bei den besten Champagner gut aufgehoben. Ganz großer Stoff. 100/100

-- Tim Atkin: Old-vine Xarel-lo (with a touch of Bastard Negre) from the Serral hill, vinified in concrete egg. This vintage of Serral del Vell has an irresistible injection of aromatic lift and energy, with truffle, honey-on toast and sea breeze focused with a beautiful reductive tint, which tunes the roasted lemon peel and ripe apricot fruit with stunning clarity. The maturation here is less advanced even than the 2012, savoury with nut oil and subtle creaminess of texture but showing no signs of over-evolution. Such fluidity, detail and class, no doubt one of Catalonia's greats. 97/100
