Lobenberg: Hierbei handelt es sich um eine limitierte Cuvée, die nur in sehr guten Jahren abgefüllt wird. Sehr rar, nur kleine Produktion. Die Vermählung von Grenache und Syrah ist hier vollendet. Dunkle Schokolade, Gewürze aber eben auch schwarzer Pfeffer, Rote Bete und Teer. Das Tanningerüst setzt hier den Spielrahmen für den Wein. Aktuell noch zupackend, wird es dem Wein in einigen Jahren zu einem gut strukturierten Wein verhelfen. Ein wunderschöner, dichter Rotwein mit fester Struktur und der Power Südfrankreichs. 94-95+/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: The 2020 Pic Saint Loup Des Clous is a tiny production cuvée coming from the best parcels of the estate. A blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache aged two years in foudre, it has a deep purple hue to go with a killer nose of black and blue fruits, leather, lavender, and wild scrub brush. Full-bodied, concentrated, and powerful on the palate, it has beautiful tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a layered, multi-dimensional style that's something to behold. Count me impressed. This tour de force in Syrah will knock your socks off any time over the coming 10-12 years, and I suspect it will evolve even longer. 95/100
