Am Gaumen feine Rasse, wunderschöne Frische, die Tannine sind recht markant aber gut von viel süssem Extrakt umhüllt, auf der Gaumenmitte wirkt er ziemlich schlank, zeigt sich aber köstlich aromatisch. Das ist ganz klar einer der besseren Sociandos der letzten Jahre, für mich klar besser als 2009 und auch deutlich preiswerter. Ich bin zwar bei der Probe eher knapp auf 18 Punkte gekommen, habe aber irgendwie das Gefühl, dass da noch mehr drin steckt, als er im Moment zeigt. 18/20-- Parker: A very classic wine for patient connoisseurs, Sociando Mallet makes no compromises and continues to produce one of the finest wines among non-classified estates in Haut-Medoc. Dense purple to the rim, the opaque purple-colored 2010 offers up notes of graphite, blueberry and black raspberry fruit, a hint of cassis, some licorice and wet rocks. Deep, full-bodied and almost excruciatingly tannic, this full-throttle, balls-to-the-wall style of wine needs at least 8-10 years of cellaring and should keep for three decades or more. 91+/100
