Ich dachte niocht, dass diese Legende die Wiederauferstehung nochmal schafft. Früher die Nummer 1 im Haut Medoc, dann viele Jahre überextrahiert und spröde, 2019 erstmal wieder ein Charakter wie ein großer Margaux, dabei jedoch von der rotfruchtigen Cabernet dominiert. Gehört zum Besten der Appellation und ist wahrscheinlich der beste Wein, den es hier je gab. Chapeau!

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 La Lagune bursts from the glass with vivacious notes of crushed black and red currants, boysenberries and wild blueberries plus nuances of wild thyme, woodsmoke, cinnamon toast and pencil lead with a touch of crushed rocks. Medium-bodied, the palate is tightly wound, offering loads of very finely stacked black fruit, baking spice and mineral layers with a solid frame of ripe, finely grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long with lots of savory sparks. Shimmering with energy, this 2019 La Lagune is a real head-turner! 93-95/100

Plenty of chocolate, tobacco and blackcurrant character on the nose. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins that are polished and present. Long and intense. This is rather tight and mouth-puckering. Give it time to soften. Very structured. From organically grown grapes. Better after 2025. 95/100

Welche Frische und Präzision in dieser Nase, die Kräuter- und Pfeffernoten ideal kombiniert. Ich stelle eine interessante Symbiose zwischen dunkler Schokolade und Minze fest, also eine Art flüssiges After-Eight! Zarte Noten von Heidelbeeren, Brombeeren und Sauerkirschen. Im Gaumen ist der Wein rassig und leicht cremig. Es hat Schwung, Energie und viel Eleganz. Eine muskulöse Ballerina, eine Ode an Finesse und Frische, die uns daran erinnert, dass ein Bordeaux Wein nicht kraftvoll sein muss, um zu begeistern, er muss nur authentisch sein. Ein wunderschöner La Lagune, der die notwendige Substanz hat, um längere Zeit im Reifekeller zu verbringen… Ob man dann genügend Geduld hat, bleibt offen! Ich denke, dass La Lagune 2019 eine wichtige Referenz für dieses Château sein wird; es setzt ein klares Zeichen über das Potenzial des Weinguts.
