Lobenberg: Dichte, leicht rauchige, rotfruchtige Nase. Satte Kirschfrucht, wie in diesem Jahrgang üblich. Nichts Raues, eher fein, aber mit toller Intensität aus Veilchen. Im Mund eher schlank und fein bleibend mit roter Kirsche, Sauerkirsche und hoher Säure aus Zitrusfrüchten. Schlank, auch der mittlere Gaumen ist nicht besonders dicht. Ein angenehmer Wein, in drei Jahren wird das mal ganz große Freude machen. Sehr schick und elegant! Das macht Spaß und es hat eine gewisse Klasse.

Dieser extrem rare Jahrgang 2024 besticht durch seine noble, fast burgundische Leichtigkeit und eine messerscharfe Finesse, die an den legendären 1988er erinnert. UND er begeistert mit sehr geschliffenen Seidentanninen, animierender Frische und einem wunderbar unbeschwerten, sexy Trinkfluss. Perfekt für den frühen Genuss!

-- Decanter: Beautifully open and expressive aromas. This has great purity, energy and focus - wonderfully alive on the palate with vibrancy. It's not a blockbuster, but you can't fault the precision on show with bitter grapefruit, chalky edges and red berry fruit. There's a touch of citrus to the high acidity but it has a lot of charm and once this settles this will be delicious for early drinking. Tasted twice. 3.4pH. 55 IPT.

-- Colin Hay: Radiantly aerial aromatically, with more lift than the other wines of the appellation and that floral touch that reminds one we’re near the appellation boundary with Margaux – something only t found elsewhere in this vintage at nearby Cantemerle. But this is a different kind of florality, more vivid and bright and lifted – white spring flowers freshly plucked from the hedgerow. As ever this feels very natural and I love the cedary notes in the depths of the mid-palate. This is one of the rare wines of the appellation with depth and layering in the mid-palate. Plump, plush and juicy; succulent, fresh and lifted on the finish. Vivid in a way that few achieve in the vintage. Very fine, refined, natural and harmonious.

-- Weinwisser: Delikates Bouquet, frischgepreßter roter Kirschsaft, Heidekraut, Cassiswürze. Am kompakten Gaumen mit seidiger Textur, straffer Ausrichtung, engmaschigem Tanningerüst, gut stützender Rasse. Im konzentrierten Finale Wildkirsche, Schlehengelee und mehlige Adstringenz. Fällt im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren leicht ab. Kann noch zulegen.
