98 Prozent Merlot und zwei Prozent Cabernet Franc. Der direkte Nachbar von Église Clinet. Der Alkoholgehalt liegt bei 14,8 Volumenprozent. Fast schwarz mit rubinroten Reflexen im Glas. Sehr schöne Merlot-Nase mit satter schwarzer Kirsche, sehr weicher Brombeere und etwas Lakritze. Sehr elegant – was für eine schöne ätherische Nase! Extrem schick und fein… Im Mund erstaunlich zart. Hier nur Schwarzkirsche mit einer leichten Holzkohle-Spur, auch ein paar grüne Elemente, vielleicht wurde sehr früh gelesen. Durchaus seidiges Tannin, aber in Summe sehr frisch. Passt.

Intense purple color with violet hue and almost black core. Aromatic and expressive nose, very fragrant fruit, plums, black cherries, hints of blackcurrants and elderberries. Fine hints of violets in the background. On the palate well-structured with rich character, almost velvety texture, excellent maturity of tannins, very convincing length with finesse and persistence.

Cool mint and red fruit aromas with some minerals and a trace of spice. This is quite tight and closed, but with deep black fruit underneath. Some sweet herbs like thyme and rosemary. Very concentrated and deep with lush black fruits, silky tannins and multi- layered sweet fruit. Hints of liquorice and clove. Iodine and ferric notes to the acidity - super fresh despite the relatively elevated alcohol, this is a real treat this year and packed full of rich flavour. Long and concentrated finish.
