-- Galloni: Deep, bright red. Deep, musky aromas of blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, mocha and wild herbs lifted by rose and lavender. Round, broad and silky, offering outstanding depth and sucrosité but also excellent grip. Wonderfully rich, full and complex, finishing with superb rising length and saline minerality. A great vintage for these younger Musigny vines, showing compelling purity of fruit. 93/100

-- Parker: The 2012 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru has a very detailed bouquet with a touch more nuance and complexity compared to the Chambolle Musigny Village : blackberry, mineral and a slight marine influence. The palate has a firm backbone, plenty of black pepper here sprinkled over the broody black fruit: masculine and intense with a long sustained finish and that pinch of black pepper lingering on the aftertaste. This will need 8 to 10 years in the cellar but it will be worth the wait. 92/100
