Tim Atkin über: Benjamin Romeo Coleccion No 2 - La Canoca Gran Reserva

-- Tim Atkin: Released later than the other three wines in the Contador Colección, La Canoca is a cuvée of Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo that used to be sold under the Carmen label as a tribute to Benjamín Romeo's mother. Smooth, ripe and intense, this has aromas of incense and wild herbs and is starting to develop bottle-aged complexity. Spicy and fresh, this is the most elegant of these four terroir-specific wines and sees no new oak. 96/100

Suckling über: Benjamin Romeo Coleccion No 2 - La Canoca Gran Reserva

-- Suckling: --Suckling: Lots of vivid fruit on the nose with hints of violets and blackberries. Full-bodied, layered and beautiful. Really tight and polished tannins on the palate. Shows finesse. Serious. Drink or hold. 94/100
