I was able to taste a bottle of the terrific 2021 Carra Sto Domingo a bit later, which was bright, ruby colored, perfumed and expressive, perhaps a little higher-pitched than the Bahierra from the same vintage. The grapes from the vines planted in the 1920s fermented with some full clusters and uncrushed berries with a soft extraction and a maceration of three weeks. It's complex and aromatic, very elegant and super balanced, with great freshness, precision and harmony, symmetric and clean, like laser cut. It matured in a 225-liter barrel and another 500-liter one for 13 months. The tannins are very fine, and the wine comes through as very fresh. It is also powerful at 14.4% alcohol but keeps a low pH of 3.47. Production was a little bit higher that year, and they managed to produce 950 bottles of this beauty. It was bottled in January 2023. 97/100
