Lobenberg: Klassischer Blend aus autochthonen Rebsorten, wie man ihn hier im Douro häufig findet. Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alicante Bouschet und Baga. Für knapp zwei Jahre in gebrauchter, französischer Eiche ausgebaut. Wir haben hier quasi so etwas wie die Turboversion vom kleineren Rufo, der mit seiner saftigen Art einfach Everybody’s Darling ist. Noch seidiger, noch charmanter, noch burgundischer in seiner Ausprägung. Viel Schwarze Kirsche, Himbeere und erdige Noten in der Nase. Dazu ein Spritzer Cassis im Mund. Viel dunkle Graphitmineralik und feine Würze von schwarzem Pfeffer. Seidiges, feinkörniges Tannin schiebt noch etwas nach. Alles fein und mit toller Frische unterlegt, nichts ist hier überkonzentriert oder fett. Wirklich genial, ein großer Wert. 94/100

-- Falstaff: Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Refklexe, brieitere Randaufhellung. Frische schwarze Waldbeeren, zart nach Lakritze, dezente Kräuterwürze. Schlank, rote Johannisbeeren, feine Tannine, gute Frische, zitronig-salzig im Abgang, unkomplizierter Speisenbegleiter. 90/100

Parker über: Vinhas do Sabor

-- Parker: The 2019 Tinto Vinhas do Sabor is a blend of 30% Touriga Franca, 25% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz, 15% Alicante Bouschet and Baga aged for 21 months in used French oak. It comes in at 13% alcohol. This is nicely expressive, velvety and beautifully focused. It's a wine with finesse and refinement too, a perfect food wine. This is not profound, but it is perfectly balanced and impossible to dislike. It can age reasonably well, but you don't have to feel compelled to age it. It drinks pretty well now. Hopefully, it can develop at least a little over the next couple of years in order to justify my enthusiasm. 90/100
