Lobenberg: Schwarze, leicht überreife Nase. Langweiliger, etwas undefinierter Mund. Nicht schlecht, wie alle Weine aus Pomerol anständig, aber eben nicht mehr. 87-89/100

Gabriel über: Chateau Petit Village

-- Gabriel: 72 % Merlot, 16 % Cabernet Franc, 12 % Cabernet Sauvignon. Dunkles Granat, recht satt in der Mitte. Vom Merlot her sind da im ersten Nasenansatz schon ziemlich viele schokoladige Noten zu spüren, fein pfeffriger Duft, deutet eine spannende Konzentration an. Im Gaumen cremig, zeigt Stoff, pfeffrige Mitte, noch fein aufrauhend in der Textur und mit einer pikanten Note auf der Zunge. Seine Form wird er erst nach einem Jahrzehnt bestätigen können. Dann, wenn die Cabernets anfangenzu reifen in der Flasche. Es war mein erster Pomerolkontakt auf Pichon Baron, dann habe ich ihn noch einmal auf La Grappe verkostet. Beide Mal mit 18/20 justiert. 18/20

-- Galloni: The 2014 Petit-Village is a gorgeous, hearty Pomerol loaded with personality. Sweet tobacco, menthol, licorice, herbs and smoke hit the palate in a straightforward, frank wine endowed with considerable personality. There is nothing fancy here, yet the whole is clearly greater than the sum of its parts. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice, mint and cedar are some of the notes that wrap around the juicy, succulent finish supported by firm yet polished tannins. The blend is 72% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. Tasted three tines -- Antonio Galloni 90-93/100

-- Parker: The Château Petit Village 2014 is a blend of 72% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon that is matured in 65% new oak cropped at 32 hectoliters per hectare. There is a sense of richness and creaminess on the nose, nicely defined and pure, though it needs to muster a little more 'personality' throughout its élevage. The palate is medium-bodied with soft supple tannin, plenty of lightly spiced red fruit with an almost viscous finish. This is a nicely composed Petit-Village that should drink well over the next 10 to 15 years but I must confess that I was expecting more. 88-90/100
