Suckling über: Chateau Fombrauge Grand Cru Classe

-- Suckling: This has a creamy texture with round tannins, very attractive ripe fruit and a juicy finish of blackberry and chocolate. Medium to full body. More balanced than 2022? 94–95/100

Falstaff über: Chateau Fombrauge Grand Cru Classe

-- Falstaff: Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Frische Herzkirschen, dunkle Waldbeeren, zart floral, dezente Edelholzwürze, einladendes Bukett.

-- Galloni: The 2023 Fombrauge is terrific. Rich, deep and explosive, the 2023 packs a serious punch. There's plenty of the textural richness Bernard Magrez loves, but it’s just a bit tempered compared to previous years. Succulent red cherry, plum, rose petal, spice, menthol, licorice and mocha infuse the 2023 with notable depth. Bright acids refresh the palate nicely. Tasted four times.

Jeff Leve über: Chateau Fombrauge Grand Cru Classe

-- Jeff Leve: Black cherries, flowers, chocolate covered plums , smoke, espresso, licorice and cherries create the perfume. The fruits are ripe, sweet, forward, and juicy with touches of chocolate, black raspberries, and cherries on the mid-palate, and in the finish. This should offer pleasure almost on release. The wine blends 90% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2040. 92-94 Pts.
