-- Weingut: The vineyard in Bocca d’Orzo is very small (approx 7,500 sqm) and surrounded by the 1981 lava flow. No other vineyard lays in this contrada and this is why we called it “Dagala” that in the Arabic language means “saved by God” (Dag Allah). It’s a monopole and we have to pick what Nature gives us since, due to the lack of other vineyards closeby, there is no possibility to increase the production. It’s a 75y old vineyard on a grand cru site, with soils dating back to 70,000y ago…the oldest on the Etna.
