Lobenberg: 100% Grenache wie fast alles hier aus Gredos. Reife rote Frucht, aber zugleich knackig in der Frische. Flüssiges Granit in Himbeere und Erdbeere mit genialer Grapefruit und toller Holztextur vom nur 1000 Liter großen neuen Holzfass. Mehr gibts nicht. Großes Kino. 98-100/100

Der Ausnahme-Jahrgang 2022 gilt in Spanien als historischer Meilenstein. Trotz Rekordhitze bestechen die Weine dank kühler Sommernächte mit verblüffend tiefen pH-Werten, spektakulärer Säurefrische und seidigen Tanninen – eine grandiose, perfekt balancierte Dichte auf Augenhöhe mit dem großen Bordeaux-Jahrgang.

Parker über: El Tamboril Tinto Garnacha

The nose and palate of the 2022 El Tamboril Tinto are really tight; it's a wine that needs more time (they reckon the 2016 is the one drinking well in 2024). It has a lot of energy and still has some creaminess and spiciness (from the élevage?). It has tons of fine tannins, giving it a powdery, dry texture. It fermented in concrete and oak, trying not to extract, fermenting with some juice without skins, a super infusion with even less extraction than the others as it has natural power. It matured in a 10,000-liter Stockinger oak foudre. 1,334 bottles and 30 magnums were filled in May 2024. This is the wine in the portfolio that needs time in bottle.

-- Suckling: A mind-blowing Ribeira Sacra red with pure fruit. Grapefruit, flowers, iron and chalk. Mineral, with subtle white pepper and blueberries. Really expressive, yet not sassy. Restrained and pure with plenty of fruit, but there is nothing too fleshy or sumptuous about the fruit. Complex, nuanced and full of nerve. So harmonious. A serious and persistent Ribeira Sacra that makes you want to finish the bottle. Great depth, too. Mencia, brancellao, merenzao, caino and souson. 6,658 bottles made. Drink or hold.
