Lobenberg: Winzige Erträge aufgrund von Frost und viel Regen im Sommer. Extreme Selektion war die einzige Lösung. Was übrig blieb ist hochkonzentriert und gewaltig. Die Weine sind atemberaubend, sie haben eine immense Frische und Pikanz. Erneut ein genialer Jahrgang, aber sehr eigen, vielleicht ein bisschen wie 2014 mit noch mehr Druck. Der Bâtard ist ohnehin ein Kraftprotz sondergleichen. Satte gelbe Frucht, Melone, Ananas, grüne und gelbe Birne, hier wird es deutlich exotischer und reifer im Gegensatz zum Corton Charlemagne. Was für eine betörende Nase, obwohl er aus dem Fass noch eine leichte Reduktion zeigt. Der Mund kracht – und er kracht richtig, Mango, Pfirsich, Ananas, süße, reiche, fast ölige Frucht drückt mit unglaublich viel Power durch den Mund. Dennoch breitet er sich fast explosionsartig aus im Mund, Salz, Tannin, Gestein, alles ist en masse vorhanden. Der Wein steht im Mund wie ein Felsen, der Nachhall hört nicht mehr auf. Die Intensität und Konzentration können nur als dramatisch beschrieben werden. Was für ein Wein! Aber mein Favorit bleibt der berauschende Charlemagne dieses Jahr. 96-98/100

-- Tim Atkin: Generously aromatic, this starts with warm waffles, sweet brioche and roasted hazelnuts. The palate has generous concentration and seamlessly integrated, mouthwatering lift. The lengthy finish is firmly dry and lightly tannic. The smaller of the two Puligny-based Grand Crus, Faiveley has 35 ares here. 96/100

Decanter über: Batard Montrachet Grand Cru

-- Decanter: Faiveley owns a third of a hectare on the Puligny side of Bâtard, directly up-slope from their vines in Bienvenues. The wine is a classic of the appellation, with ripe apple and quince aromas, hints of acacia flower, hazelnut, and spice. The texture is powerful and richer than the Bienvenues; it also has more structure and potential for ageing. The overall impression is one of density without heaviness – marvellous. This wine should open with three to five years in the bottle and drink for a further 20. 95/100

Galloni über: Batard Montrachet Grand Cru

-- Galloni: The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has slightly more complexity and mineralité on the nose than the Bienvenue. It’s sprightly and focused, with a hint of sea spray coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tension and a very slight reduction that lends tension, counterbalancing the creamy finish. Excellent. 93-95/100

-- Parker: Deep and muscular, the 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru reveals notes of pear, sweet stone fruit, fresh mint, buttered toast and hazelnuts, followed by a full-bodied, rich and layered palate that's deep and concentrated, its sweet core of fruit girdled by lively acids. 93-95/100
