Lobenberg: Johannisbeere, eingekochte Pflaumen, Zimt, Kirschen und Moschus. Hedonistische Frucht, feistes Tannin, sehr dichter Aromenteppich und eine knackige Fülle. Er macht richtig Spaß, hier kann man jetzt Napa deutlich erkennen. Da ist aber noch etwas reserviertes in seiner Persönlichkeit, ohne Aristokratie heucheln zu wollen. Immense Länge gehört natürlich auch dazu, schließlich sprechen wir hier von einem der besten Cabernets Napas überhaupt. Eine Symbiose aus Napa-Hedonismus und sehr viel Seriosität, und zwar in einer angenehmen Art und Weise und ohne jemals angestrengt zu wirken. Ja, diese Kombination ist es! Sie macht ihn zu etwas ganz Besonderem. 96/100

-- Galloni: (14.9% alcohol): Bright, dark red. Perfumed aromas of cassis, blackberry, violet and eucalyptus, with a light porty suggestion. Silky, savory and large-scaled if not especially sweet, with the black fruit flavors coming across as smooth and a bit soft. Finishes with supple, easygoing tannins but the slowly mounting aftertaste displays surprising length. A late note of menthol contributes to the wine's savory character. 92/100

-- Parker: One of the better values in high end Napa Cabernet, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Elegant Bordeaux-like aromas of berries, loamy soil, graphite, mocha, black currants and cedar are followed by a medium-bodied, stylish wine with excellent texture, underlying floral notes and a long finish. Nearly as French-like as Napa’s Dominus wines, it should age effortlessly for 10-15 years. 91/100
