Lobenberg: Seit einigen Jahren hat die Biodynamie hier nochmal einen Qualitätsschub gegeben, Lageder stellt meist wieder die besten Weißweine der Region. Im Barrique vergoren und über 11 Monate auf der Hefe ausgebaut. Sehr dichte, cremige Nase, weißer Pfirsich und Birne, Vanille, weiße Mandel, sehr hell und fein. Am Gaumen ausgesprochen elegant, sehr harmonmisch, cremiges Mundgefühl, fast samtig aber auch mit guter Frische. Zitronengras, grüne Aprikose, Quitte, Orangenschale, Mandeln, alles sehr geschliffen, strahlend fein. Burgundisch frischer Biss, salzige Mineralität, Viel Kraft und dennoch perfekt abgestimmte Harmonie. Eine eigene Dimension in Südtirol und ganz klar einer der allerbesten Chardonnays Italiens. 95-96/100

-- Galloni: The 2019 Chardonnay Lowengang captivates as a whiff of crushed rocks gives way to a vivid blend of candied ginger, white flowers and peach nectar. It’s deeply textural and supple on the palate, sometimes savory and sometimes sweet, with penetrating minerality offset by ripe yellow apple and almond paste. The 2021 lingers impossibly long while remaining entirely fresh, as a salty flourish gives way to a lemon rind note that puckers the cheeks. There’s a lot of youthful tension here, yet complexity, too, promising years of positive development. 93/100

-- Parker: The oak-fermented and aged 2019 Chardonnay Löwengang shows citrusy freshness on one hand, with textured spice and vanilla on the other. This wine puts its primary fruit forward with intensity, but it also offers plenty of exciting complexity in a second wave of aromas that underline extreme care and precision in winemaking. Like the other bottles in this portfolio, this is an organic and biodynamic wine. Production is 40,000 bottles, and fruit is selected from the best parts of Löwengang in Magrè with sandy glacier soils at 230 to 330 meters in elevation. 93/100

-- Suckling: An unusually ethereal expression of the chardonnay grape, with delicate lemon-curd, crisp pear and toasted white-bread aromas. Barely medium-bodied, but it has a refined texture there, plus flint and wet-stone complexity. The positive tannins carry the finish some way out and it ends with a splash of lemon-curd character. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. 93/100
