Lobenberg: Im Wraith werden die besten Barriques aus den Weinbergslagen »Kayli Morgan«, »Ark« und »Few and Far Between« zum absoluten Überfliegercuvée vereint, denn dieser Blend bringt auf erstaunliche Art und Weise das Beste aus jeder der Einzellagen hervor. Das ist Komplexität vom andern Stern! Total mind-blowing. Nach 40 Monaten in neuer französischer Eiche, ist der Wraith zudem auch noch Harmonie pur. Alles ist in sich vereint. Tiefes violett im Glas. Reife dunkle Kirsche, Cassis, und Brombeermarmelade. Hier ist richtige Finesse am Start. Im Mund sind die Tannine von seidigster Qualität, so rund geschliffen. Schon jetzt ist die totale Spannung im Glas, aber das ist ganz ohne Frage ein Wein der in den nächsten 10 bis 20 Jahren nur noch zulegen wird. Absolute Oberklasse! 100/100

All very different and incredibly unique. The WRAITH shows all the beauty and personality of each individual vineyard and how they come together to develop even greater complexity.

-- Jeb Dunnuck: Even better, and a perfect wine from my viewpoint, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Wraith is a blend of estate vineyards and spends 40 months in new French oak. As with all of Woodbridge’s wines, it has an incredible sense of elegance and finesse paired with beautiful richness and depth. Deep ruby/purple, with cassis and kirsch fruits as well as stunning notes of tobacco, toast, and gravelly minerality, this is Cabernet Sauvignon at its most complex, seamless, and elegant. The tannin quality is off the charts, and this magical, full-bodied, multi-dimensional effort can be enjoyed any time over the coming 30+ years or more.100/100

-- Parker zu 2015: The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Wraith has a medium garnet-purple color and a hauntingly beautiful nose of kirsch, red roses, fragrant soil and menthol over a core of blueberry compote, raspberry pie and preserved plums plus faint glimpses of crushed rocks, lavender, tapenade and smoked meats. The palate is full-bodied, tightly knit and super intense with a solid structure of perfectly ripe, fine-grained tannins and tons of freshness, finishing very long and minerally. This is one of those very rare wines that so beautifully straddles the pinnacles of hedonic and the cerebral experiences, forever compelling you to take just one more sip. 100/100
