Lobenberg: Überwiegend Kalksteinböden, auch durchzogen von anderen Gesteinsformationen, etwas Lehm, die Weine sind in der Regel klar zur Kraft unterwegs und strukturierter als der extrem feine Caillerets, demzufolge kommt die Nase weitaus wuchtiger und opulenter daher, Cranberry mit Zwetschge, süße Kirsche, Brombeere, auch süße Maulbeere, fein und doch mit guter Opulenz. Domaine d'Angerville ist immer ultra fein und charmant, man könnte fast von einem feinen Parfüm im Glas sprechen. Dieser Champans ist sehr verspielt, charmant, filigran und feminin. Der filigranste im Bouquet aktuell. Das Tannin ist hier aber doch etwas geschliffener , sandiger im Ausklang aber da ist ganz viel Spiel drin. Ein toller Champans, der doch der kräftigste Cru des Hauses ist, aber erst am Gaumen zeigt, wie viel Power im Wein steckt. 94+/100

-- Tim Atkin: Firmer and more backward than the other d’Angerville Premiers Crus in 2016, this has more clay in the soils, but is not as open as the 2015 was at this early stage of its development. Serious and sappy, with dense plum and black cherry fruit and a backbone of tannin and meaty reduction. 94/100

-- Galloni: (the entire bottom of this vineyard was fried by frost, according to régisseur François Duvivier): Bright, dark red-ruby. Medicinal blueberry and licorice aromas are lifted by a minty high note; less showy and more restrained on the nose than the Taillepieds and Caillerets today. Then wonderfully dense, primary and pure on the palate, but more vertical and less opulent than the Taillepieds and Caillerets. Strong mineral energy accentuates the impression of vibrancy. A bit less open to inspection today owing to its firm tannic spine. 92-95/100
