Lobenberg: Der Rhôneblend aus 70 Prozent Syrah und 30 Prozent Grenache beweist ganz klar dass die südliche Maremma sogar noch mehr kann als top Cabernet und Merlot. Der Wein strahlt mit einem tiefen Rubinrot im Glas. An der Nase hat der Tinata die unverfälschte Aromatik der Toskana: Dunkle Beeren, Lavendel, Thymian und Rosmarin. Im Mund dann der berauschenden Trinkfluss, satte dunkle Kirsche, schwarzer Pfeffer, Rauchfleisch und mediterrane Würze. Auch roher Schinken, Blut und Eisen. Die saftige Säure harmoniert mit dem fein strukturierten Tannin. Absolut schick und raffiniert! 96/100

-- Parker: Here’s a happy surprise from the Tuscan Coast and definitely one of the most memorable samples I tasted from this region this year. The 2016 Tinata is a beautifully balanced blend of Syrah and Grenache that hits all its proverbial nails on the head. I admire the fullness and generosity of the wine (that is never heavy), its depth and complexity (that is never banal) and its power (that is not overblown). You get the savory fullness of Syrah with black fruit, tobacco, smoke and spice and some of the vertical freshness of the Grenache. The tannins are softly textured to the point of being creamy. It gives me great joy to enthusiastically recommend this exciting wine from Monteverro. 95/100

-- Falstaff: Dichtes Rubinrot-Violett. Intensive und klare Frucht, nach Heidelbeeren und Brombeeren, dahinter nach Koriandersamen und etwas Bergamotte. Am Gaumen viel dichtes Tannin, dunkle Beerenfrucht, wirkt im hinteren Verlauf etwas rustikal. 93/100

Monteverro liegt in der Maremma, also der Küstenregion der Toskana. Es ist ein Projekt des deutschen Ehepaares Julia und Georg Weber, die auf anraten keines geringeren als der bordelaiser Berater-Legende Michel Rolland auf das unbekanntere Terroir der südlichen Maremma zu setzen.
