Heiner Lobenberg über:
Poggio Argentato 2018

Suckling über: Poggio Argentato

-- Suckling: This is precise and pretty with sliced apples and limes, as well as mineral undertones. Full body. Dry and flavorful. Bright finish. Drink or hold. 92/100

Galloni über: Poggio Argentato

-- Galloni: The 2018 Poggio Argentato is a gorgeous wine that captures the freshness of the year, with terrific texture and resonance. White flowers, jasmine, mint and green apple are some of the many notes that are delineated here. A wine of real distinction, Poggio Argentato is absolutely delicious and distinctive in 2018. This is a stellar showing. 92/100

Parker über: Poggio Argentato

-- Parker: The 2018 Poggio Argentato is a fresh white that benefitted from a cool May and June and plenty of rain in August. The blend is 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Petit Manning, 10% Traminer and 5% Semillon. Fermented in tonneaux, the wine has a very precise bouquet, although the mouthfeel still needs to take on more volume and weight. There are nice little aromas of white flowers and honeysuckle. Give this one a few more months in the bottle to take on more weight before serving it along side a plate of spaghetti with vongole and chopped parsley. 91/100
