Lobenberg: Vielleicht der europäischste Syrah Napas. In kleinen, offenen 500-Liter-Holzfässern mit natürlicher Hefe vergoren. Aus winzigsten Erträgen organisch bearbeiteter Weinberge aus Lee Hudsons Weinberg im kühlen Carneros. Wie so typisch für John Kongsgaard extrem saftig, üppig, fruchtiger als ein Hermitage, aber in seiner Mineralität und Textur sehr ähnlich. Die saftige Version eines Hermitage, der Wein macht richtig Spaß. Aber er braucht viel Luft in der Karaffe und kann auch sehr schön in der Flasche im Keller nachreifen. Nimmt man sich diese Zeit, so bekommt man ein großes Erlebnis geschenkt. 97-100/100

Full-bodied, the palate is equally atomic, with bags of expressive black fruits and meaty/peppery hints framed by ripe, rounded tannins, finishing long, refreshing and oh-so-spicy. 97-99+/100
