-- Parker: The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Its black/purple color is accompanied by a glorious bouquet of blue and black fruits, acacia flowers and wild berry fruit touched by toasty oak and spice box wrapped in a full-bodied, rich, stunningly proportioned, pure style. It should age effortlessly for 25 or more years. This may turn out to be the finest One Point Five Shafer has yet produced, although it is still an infant and tastes like the barrel sample it is, not a finished wine. Nevertheless, brilliance is written all over it. 94-97/100

-- Suckling: The cool fruit is fantastic. Tar, raspberry, blueberry and hints of coffee. Subtle and rich. Goes on for minutes on the palate. This comes mostly from vineyards on the flat land of southern Stags Leap and shows a minerally undertone. Some violet and oak nuances too. Makes you want to drink it. Slightly more than 15% alcohol but remains fresh and crisp. Why wait? 94/100
