Heiner Lobenberg über:
Mainque Chardonnay 2020

97
/100

Apfelfrische meets Almbutter meets Kalkstein. Wahnsinnig harmonisch frisch. Das ist hier ganz groß. 97/100

Galloni über: Mainque Chardonnay

-- Galloni: The 2020 Chardonnay Mainqué was made in partnership with the Burgundy winemaker Jean Marc Roulot with grapes from an old vineyard in Mainqué, Río Negro. Seventy-three percent of the wine was aged in mostly used French barrels, the rest in concrete tanks for 11 months. Yellow in the glass. The clear, expressive nose presents notes of acacia, hawthorn and honey with hints of pear and apple. Subtle aromas from the aging process enhance the complexity. Saline with expressive freshness, the flow is delicate while ginger notes develop at the back of the mouth. A rich, nuanced, vibrant wine. 95/100

Suckling über: Mainque Chardonnay

-- Suckling: Very flinty and minerally on the nose with some aniseed and sliced green-apple aromas that follow through to a medium-to full-bodied palate with a creamy texture and pretty apple, citrus and nougat flavors. Creamy and long. Subtle and fine. From the owner of Chacra and Burgundy’s Jean-Marc Roulot. Very drinkable now, but will improve. 94/100

Bodega Chacra
