Lobenberg: Erstmals mit 2012 habe ich mit meinen langjährigen Freunden Stephan Asseo und Dominique Meneret (Domaine de Corteillac südlich Castillons ist auch deren Gemeinschaftsprojekt und Stephans Gründung) wieder angefangen mit L'Aventure in Paso Robles zu arbeiten. Früher fand ich die Weine einfach zu fett, seit einigen Jahren aber schafft Stephan trotz des hohen Syrahanteils auf seinen Hochlagen genau die Symbiose aus Cote Rotie und cool climate Cabernet a la Philipp Togni. Er braucht aber bitte viel Zeit im Keller, so nach 10 Jahren wird er richtig fein. 99/100

Possessing plenty of black raspberry, graphite, spice-box, crushed flowers and dusty soil characteristics, give this concentrated, structured and balanced 2013 a year or three in the cellar and enjoy bottles through 2028. 96/100
