Ich zitiere zum Verständnis nochmal den 2016er Text von Jeb Dunnuck: 'Similarly purple-hued, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan Vineyard is more backward and closed compared to the 2015, but it’s certainly loaded with potential. Giving up a rock star bouquet of cedar pencil, cassis, darker currant, white flowers, espresso, and smoke tobacco, it hits the palate with an incredibly sexy, seamless texture that carries ultra-fine tannins, remarkable purity of fruit, subtle oak, and a great, great finish. The 2015 is certainly more showy at this point, but I think the 2016 will surpass it around age 10. I certainly look forward to finding out!' 100/100

Decanter über: Cabernet Sauvignon Morgan's Way Vineyard (ehemals Kaylie Morgan )

-- Decanter: Luminous ruby-colour. Fresh raspberry and cranberry aromas are layered with spearmint, sagebrush and chocolate notes. Beautifully complete and complex, infused throughout with a dynamic energy powered by grippy acidity, which brings freshness and lift to the decadent, plush red and emerging black-fruit character. The finish is insanely long, driven by pure crushed rock minerals, and the entire wine is framed by perfect beams of firm tannins, resolving with notes of sweet herbs and blood orange. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Hundred Acre’s estate 3.6 hectare Morgan’s Way vineyard (formerly Kayli Morgan), situated north of St. Helena, on the eastern side of Silverado Trail, south of Bale Lane, at the base of Howell Mountain. The vineyard is named after owner-winemaker Jayson Woodbridge’s daughter, Morgan. The wine ages a minimum of 30 months in French oak barriques. 98/100

Parker über: Cabernet Sauvignon Morgan's Way Vineyard (ehemals Kaylie Morgan )

-- Parker: From the 2019 vintage, Kayli Morgan will transition to being called Morgan's Way, although the vineyard sourcing remains the same. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Morgan's Way delivers waves of ripe cherry, Madagascar vanilla and cigar box aromas, while the full-bodied palate is velvety and taut at the same time, that tension providing great liveliness and length on the mouthwatering finish. 97+/100

Jeb Dunnuck über: Cabernet Sauvignon Morgan's Way Vineyard (ehemals Kaylie Morgan )

-- Jeb Dunnuck: he 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Morgan's Way comes from old volcanic and clay soils (there's some obsidian as well), and it reminded me of great vintage of Le Pin from Pomerol with its exotic, sexy, full-bodied, incredibly gorgeous profile. Offering ripe red and black fruits, spicy oak, vanilla, lead pencil, and tobacco-like aromas and flavors, it's impossible to resist today, but this has 20 years of life ahead of it as well. It's a classic, brilliantly done 2019. 97/100

Hundred Acre
