Galloni über: Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle

-- Galloni: The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru is very precise on the nose, more so than the Clos-Prieur, offering black cherries, raspberry and crushed stone. This is supremely well focused, though the 60% whole bunch is more noticeable at the moment compared to other cuvées. The palate is well balanced with very good structure. This fills the mouth with vibrant Pinot Noir. The whole bunch addition is quite conspicuous toward the finish, suggesting that it should be cellared for 4–5 years. This has great potential, just like the Petite Chapelle from Dugat-Py. 93-95/100

Parker über: Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle

-- Parker: Aromas of peonies and orange rind complement scents of cherries, cassis and rich coniferous forest floor in an incipiently complex bouquet, introducing Trapet's 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle, a medium to full-bodied, deep and vibrant wine that's seamless and complete, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a concentrated core of fruit. 92-94/100
