Lobenberg: Der Clos de Vougeot von Grivot erstreckt sich über 1,8 Hektar, beginnend unten an der Straße, sich ganz hoch ziehend. Der untere Teil wird immer weggelassen (deklassiert), da er mit einem hohen Lehmanteil manchmal etwas zu üppig und schwer ausfällt. Der mittlere und obere Teil stehen aber, mit einer minimalen Lehmauflage, auf reinem Kalkstein. Die Kirsch- und Zwetschgennase ist unglaublich fein, vibriert, hat eine tolle Spannung und strahlt große Harmonie aus. Auch im Mund diese hohe Spannung, diese Energiedichte. Feinste Säure, geschliffene Tannine, tolle Länge. Ein Wein, der einen nie überwältigt, eine Flasche, die immer ausgetrunken werden wird, weil der Wein so vibriert und einen gleichzeitig so charmant einnimmt mit seiner schönen mittleren Süße und Frucht. Ein toller Clos de Vougeot, ein positives Beispiel für diese doch so unterschiedlich ausfallende Lage. Toller Wein. Bewertung dieses fantastischen 2012ers: 96-98/100

WS über: Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

-- WS: Hints of smoke and mineral ignite the black currant, black cherry and violet flavors in this dense, yet pure and elegant, red. Stays long and complex on the finish, but will need time for the nuances to emerge. 94/100

Galloni über: Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

-- Galloni: Good bright red. Brilliantly pure aromas of blueberry, blackberry and crushed rock. Dense, sappy and sweet, showing outstanding energy and an almost painful structure to the intense, saline black fruit flavors. A distinctly virile style but the tannins are remarkably refined. Clos Vougeot is a grand cru that has been privileged by climate change, as very few producers today make versions with brutal tannins. Grivot's Clos Vougeot is all the more remarkable for the fact that one of his parcels is poorly placed along the Route Nationale in the northeast corner of the appellation. (Tanzer) 93-96/100

-- Parker: The 2012 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru offers plenty of dark berries, briary, woodland scents on the nose – deep and penetrating. The palate is very structured with one particular barrel sample showing more backbone than other. The grip and intent are both palpable on the long, cola-tinged finish that brims over with energy. This is a multifaceted Clos de Vougeot endowed with a Pandora Box of delights down the road. 93-95/100

-- Burghound: A cool, restrained and unusually elegant nose combines various red berries with notes of dried flowers, freshly turned earth and sandalwood. There is excellent volume and intensity to the focused, intense and quite powerful medium weight plus flavors that culminate in a driving, even explosive finish that coats the mouth and lingers for an impressively long time. I very much like the harmony of elements though note that this exceptionally intense effort is unlikely to be an early drinker. 95/100
