Vinha do Mouro
-- Parker: The 2013 Vinha do Mouro is a blend of 45% Trincadeira, 30% Aragonez, 15% Alicante Bouschet and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, mostly unoaked (but for about 50% of the juice in three-year-old or older oak). It comes in at 14% alcohol. This is a rather terrific value that is showing beautifully just now. It isn't the most concentrated red, but at this level that is not what you look for. What it does have is intensity of fruit flavor, a clean feel, a bright and lively demeanor and some tension on the finish. At the price, you can't go wrong here. My experience has been that you will receive very little reward for aging this bottling, but at the moment it is pretty nice and seems rather serious. Drink it young. 89/100
