Terra de Cuques Blanc
-- Parker: The 2018 Terra de Cuques Blanc was produced with a majority of Pedro Ximénez from vines in the villages of El Molar and La Morera on clay soils and 10% Muscat from Porrera on llicorella slate soils. It fermented in concrete and stainless steel vats (50/50) with indigenous yeasts and matured exclusively in concrete. Here I start seeing the skin contact having quite a strong effect on the profile of the wine, providing aromatics and a mouthfeel that take me more to the process than to the place, even if they have shortened the time the wine is in contact with the skins. There are notes of yellow fruit, honey and quince, with some floral undertones, and the palate has a soft texture and nice balance. 2,668 bottles were filled in September 2020. 92/100
